RFP - Rochester Peace Collective 2.0

The City of Rochester (“City”) received a $202.1 million dollar award from the Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund established by the American Rescue Plan Act (“ARPA”). The City engaged the community for direct input on the use of ARPA funds to transform Rochester’s recovery from the pandemic, and used this input to develop a blueprint for allocation of funds. Based on that feedback and input provided to the City in establishing the Rochester 2034 Comprehensive Plan, the City now seeks partner organizations to carry out violence prevention programming (the “Project”) on its behalf as a Subrecipient of these funds.

The City looks to invest in organizations that are involved in work aimed at violence reduction through social emotional health support, re-entry programs, job training and preparation, mediation and conflict resolution, youth development specifically targeting individuals negatively impacted by the pandemic. Up to $750,000 in funds have been made available by the City for this purpose, and in issuing this RFP, the City intends to explore a wide range of potential projects based on the funding needs of organizations looking to expand their efforts and programming in this space.
