(Tuesday, May 22, 2018) — The City of Rochester Public Market’s 30th-annual Flower City Days at the Market series, traditionally held on Sundays, continues this upcoming holiday weekend with additional days. Flower City Days at the Market Memorial Day weekend schedule is as follows: Friday May 25; Sunday May 27, and Monday May 28. All events run from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“Flower City Days at the Market have been greeting Rochesterians with the sights and smells of spring for 30 years,” said Mayor Lovely Warren. “It only makes sense that here in the ‘Flower City,’ we would extend the popular Flower City Days at the Market to give residents even more opportunities to stock up on garden goods. Flower City Days at the Market is a great Memorial Day family tradition that highlights Rochester’s wonderful quality of life, which helps us create more jobs, safer and more vibrant neighborhoods and better educational opportunities for our citizens.”
Flower City Days is a horticultural extravaganza unlike any other in Western New York. Dozens of vendors, including some of the area’s best-known local nurseries, offer a wide variety of bedding plants, shrubs, vegetable plants, perennials and annuals. Coffee shops and cafes are open as well.
The final Flower City Days at the Market will be Sunday, June 3.
