Motorist Advisory
(Thursday, June 21, 2018) – Seasonal clean-up of the Genesee
River will lead to the temporary closure of two city bridges on alternate days
this weekend.
The
Main Street Bridge will close Saturday, June 23, between South Avenue and State
Street from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Andrews Street Bridge will close Sunday, June
24, between St. Paul Street and State Street from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. No vehicles
or pedestrian traffic will be permitted except for emergency vehicles during those
times.
City
Department of Environmental Services crews will perform seasonal clean-up and
maintenance operations, removing logs and debris from the Genesee River.
The Broad Street Bridge will remain available as
a detour on both days.###
