(Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018) – The seventh-annual Mayor Lovely Warren Blood Drive in honor of her late grandfather, Cecil McClary, will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15 at the Keeler Park Apartments community room, 501 Seneca Manor Drive.
Mayor Warren sponsors the event each year in recognition of the blood donors who helped save her grandfather’s life many years ago when he was the victim of a shooting and needed blood transfusions. The event is held in September to mark Sickle Cell Awareness Month.
Walk-ins are welcome but appointments are preferred. To schedule an appointment, call 1-800-733-2767 (1 800 Red Cross) or visit redcross.org.
