This position in the Office of the Mayor is responsible for:
- Oversight of City Council processes and communications for the Administration
- Supporting constituent services
- Coordination of interdepartmental and external stakeholder relations as needed
- Monitoring Mayoral appointments to boards and commissions
Professional Background
Alinda holds a Ph.D. in Education from the University of Rochester, and a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Houston. She previously served on the faculty at the National Technical Institute for the Deaf at the Rochester Institute of Technology, and joined the City in 1993 as a volunteer member and chair of the Zoning Board of Appeals. She worked as assistant to City Councilmember Nancy Griswold, and in 2003 joined the Mayor's Office as an Executive Staff Assistant in charge of City Council processes. She was appointed to her current position in May 2010.
