Port of Rochester- Environmental and Redevelopment Documents

The City of Rochester and Monroe County own approximately 30-acres of land located near the mouth of the Genesee River at the confluence of Lake Ontario. The property has had a number of historical uses ranging from industrial to more recently developing the site as a fast ferry terminal. The Port of Rochester site currently contains significant roadway and parking infrastructure for both the ferry terminal mass-transit operation, in addition to day use parking for residents utilizing Ontario Beach. The City is interested in redeveloping this site into its highest and best use.
