Discover Rochester:  200 Years of Historic Architecture

The historic buildings, structures, objects, and sites in our community give us a tangible link to our past, ranging from the "Flour City" period of the early 1800's to the "Post-Modern" era of the early 21st century.  In this illustrated talk, learn about the history that surrounds you and the important stories that these resources have to tell about one of the best preserved cities in the United States.

This program will be held in the Kate Gleason Auditorium, located in the Bausch and Lomb Public Library Building, 115 South Ave.; presented by Cynthia Howk, Architectural Research Coordinator of The Landmark Society of Westen New York, Inc.

This talk, presented by The Central Library of Rochester and Monroe County and The Friends of the Rochester Public Library, is part of "Rochester's Rich History...how we became who we are - 1834-2009", a series celebrating Rochester's 175th Anniversary.
