The City of Rochester currently offers financial assistance to help property owners correct lead-based paint hazards. The City offers up to $18,000 per unit for porch repair/ replacement, window/door repair/replacement, painting and bare soil treatment. In extreme cases, funding may be used for exterior siding. Landlords are required to contribute 10% of the total project cost.

Please note, at this time, the City is not offering lead hazard control assistance to owner-occupants. There is currently a waiting list for those owner-occupants that were not able to be served from last year’s grant program because the program was fully enrolled. The City will enroll owner-occupants from this waiting list. Please check back to this website for future funding announcements.
