News Release - Public Meeting Scheduled for Midtown Draft Design Report

(Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2011) – The Midtown Rochester Rising Project Team will conduct a public meeting to present the Midtown Draft Design Report on Tuesday, Jan. 18 at the HSBC Auditorium, HSBC Plaza, 100 Chestnut St. downtown. The meeting will be an “open-house” format, where plans will be displayed at stations around the auditorium. Each station will be staffed by members of the City’s Midtown implementation team, who will be available to discuss the plans and answer questions. The event will take place from 4 to 7 p.m., with a formal presentation taking place at 6 p.m. Participants are welcome to stop by any time during the three-hour session.

Topics to be presented for discussion include infrastructure improvements such as the new street grid; the subdivision to create development parcels; Midtown parking garage modifications; the reconfiguration of the Cortland Street tunnel; and issues related to the development of the open space located in the center of the block.
