City's dynamic Party in the Park concert series to be held Thursday, June 16 through August 18, 2011, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Radio station 95.1 The FOX is hosting a local band competition called Rock Star Rivalry to select the opening bands for the headlining acts.  Bands can submit their music in MP3 format at www.rochesterevents.com. Entries will be posted on the site and the Brother Wease morning show will highlight clips of bands through the registration period, which runs weekly to July 18.  A panel of judges from the FOX and the Drive radio personnel will select the winning bands.

For the comfort and safety of everyone, patrons are also asked to leave their bicycles, skateboards, in-line skates and pets at home. The City will again issue a "No Chairs" policy for the safety of patrons.  Bleachers will be provided.
