News Release - Police Arrest North Winton Road Robbery Suspect

(Friday, June 3, 2011) - Rochester Police Chief James M. Sheppard announced today that police have have arrested Daniel Bovee of Rochester in connection with a robbery in which several hundred dollars was taken from the CVS store lat 185 N. Winton Rd., Rochester.

The robbery occurred on April 25, 2011 at about 3:50 p.m. Bovee, age 36, was taken into custody around 11:35 p.m. on Thursday, June 2, 2011. He is being charged with Robbery in the third degree for that crime. He is not charged with any other crimes at this time but more charges against him are expected to be filed. The Irondequoit Police Department also has charged Mr. Bovee with Attempted Robbery in connection with a May 23, 2011 incident at a 7/11 store on Empire Boulevard.

 No other suspects have been charged in connection with several recent robberies in the North Winton Road area. Bovee will appear in Rochester City Court tomorrow.

Chief James M. Sheppard credited the many tips called into Crime Stoppers, strong community involvement and outstanding interagency cooperation for the arrest.
