News Release - City to Implement New Mailing Address for Water, Commercial Refuse Payments

City of Rochester

News Release

(Friday, Feb. 15, 2013) — In an effort to help City water and commercial refuse customers better manage their money and accounts, the City Finance Department is now asking customers to send their bills directly to the J.P. Morgan Chase payment processing center in Binghamton, N.Y. This new payment system eliminates City Hall from the mail stream, saving almost two days in the process to give customers a more accurate reading of their checking accounts and City water and commercial-refuse accounts.

The new address will be printed on the return envelopes of the next round of water bills to be sent to customers on Feb 20.

The City will continue to provide the ability to pay water bills online at: www.cityofrochester.gov/payments. They may also be made in-person Mon. to Fri. from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at City Hall, 30 Church St. Commercial refuse customers can also pay in-person at City Hall.

The new address for water is:

• City of Rochester Water, Dept. 90134, and P.O. Box 5508, Binghamton, NY 13902-5508.
• For commercial refuse, it is City of Rochester Refuse, Dept. 90205, P.O. Box 5508, Binghamton, NY 13902-5508.
