RFP - Officer Assistance Program

About the Project

The Rochester Police Department is soliciting proposals for an Officer Assistance Program which will provide two types of services to Rochester Police Department members:

A. Confidential Employee Assistance Program services to address the mental health and psychological needs of Rochester Police Department Officers and their families. These services will include crisis intervention; marriage/family/relationship counseling; addictions assessment and referral services; child/adolescent counseling; stress management; and psychiatric consultation.

B. A Critical Incident Stress Management Team Program which provides both crisis intervention and stress management services to Police Department members who have experienced a traumatic event or critical incident which caused, or has the potential to cause, unusually strong emotional reactions, which may ultimately interfere with the member’s ability to function in his/her professional role. This service must be available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

    Selection of Service Provider: May 20, 2013 
    Start date for service provision: July 1, 2013
