City of Rochester
(Tuesday, May 21, 2013) – Mayor Thomas S. Richards announced the grand opening of Rincon Criollo, a new eatery specializing in authentic Puerto Rican sandwiches, located at 1485 Dewey Ave.
City Neighborhood and Business Development Commissioner R. Carlos Carballada and Council Vice President Dana Miller joined business owners Lucila and Eddie Matos today to celebrate the opening of the new restaurant.
“Rochester has been able to remain a strong and vibrant city over the past few years, not just because of big businesses, but because of the importance we place on culture and the small business entrepreneurs,” Commissioner Carballada said. “I thank them for showing their faith and support in the City by bringing their restaurant to Dewey Avenue.”
The Matos' began their culinary career working in restaurants and have always dreamed of owning their own restaurant. They are excited to bring these flavors to the Latino community. Hours of operation at Rincon Criollo are: Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
