Mayor Thomas S. Richards Announces New, Centralized Location for Northwest Quadrant Service Center

(Wednesday, July 31, 2013) – Mayor Thomas S. Richards announced today that the Northwest Quadrant Service Center, previously located at 1099 Jay St., will relocate its personnel and police officers to the first floor of 71 Parkway (the Charles Settlement House), as of Thursday, August 1, with no disruption in services.

“Moving the Northwest Quadrant Service Center to the Parkway site--headquarters of the Charles Settlement House—makes sense for a number of reasons,” said Mayor Richards. “Being more centrally located in the Northwest will increase accessibility for residents, promote more community interaction with officers and staff and foster more opportunities for neighborhood associations and block clubs to share ideas and concerns, as they work together to make the Northwest the best that it can be.”

The Charles Settlement House is a four-story building that is also home to a community center for residents from Somalia, a tutoring center, an adult care facility, and several other non-profit community organizations.

Hours of operation for the Northwest Quadrant Service Center at 71 Parkway are
8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The Center is also open for scheduled community meetings after-hours. The phone number of the Center remains the same, (585) 428-7620.
