City of Rochester
(Friday, May 9, 2014) – City Neighborhood and Business Development Commissioner Delmonize ‘Del’ Smith, New York State Senator Joe Robach and City Councilmember Elaine Spaull joined business owner Julianna Meyer in cutting a ceremonial ribbon to celebrate the grand opening of Julianna’s Salon and Spa, located at 656 South Avenue.
Julianna Meyer has been in the cosmetology industry for six years, first apprenticing, then moving to her own chair and is now proud to open Julianna’s Salon and Spa. She pursued her dream and took time to find the perfect location for her shop in Rochester.
Ms. Meyer said she is driven by her desire to combine service, aesthetics and creativity and hopes her salon in the South Wedge will be a place where people can come to get refreshed, rejuvenated and beautified. “My passion is to serve others, build relationships and add value to this community,” said Meyers. “It is important to us that people are inspired from the very moment they walk through the door and I am hopeful that everything from our attitude to our artwork keeps clients coming back.”
“Entrepreneurs such as Julianna Meyer are critical to making Rochester a vibrant place to live and work,” said Commissioner Smith. “The City is committed to assisting our businesses small and large and Julianna’s Salon and Spa is a wonderful addition to the South Wedge neighborhood.”
Julianna’s Salon and Spa offers a full menu of salon and spa services as well as makeup and bridal packages. Hours of operation are: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesdays through Thursdays; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Fridays; and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays.
