All Events

6/12/2014 at 4:00 PM to 6/12/2014 at 5:00 PM

Description:

Rochester is proud to be home to internationally acclaimed Garth Fagan Dance. For years Garth Fagan Dance and the Garth Fagan Children's Ensemble have been delighting audiences.

More recently, Garth Fagan Dance has collaborated with Carlson MetroCenter YMCA to create Stop the Violence Dance Alliance, a free after-school dance and healthy living program for youth enrolled in the Rochester City School District.

More than a dance performance, this program includes the inspiring story of Garth Fagan Dance and the Carlson MetroCenter YMCA's collaboration to improve the lives of youth in Rochester. Enjoy some fantastic dancing, see the Garth Fagan method and philosophy in action, and learn more about how 'tweens and teens can develop confidence and leadership skills through dance.

This program for all ages will be held in the Kate Gleason Auditorium, first floor of Central's Bausch & Lomb Public Library Building.
