(Wednesday, July 30, 2014) – The Bands on the Bricks concert series continues this Friday, Aug. 1 with Donna the Buffalo.

The popular, free outdoor concert series brings a variety of musical acts to the Public Market, 280 North Union St., every Friday from 6 to 10 p.m. through Aug. 8. Gates open at 5:30 p.m.

Bands on the Bricks is presented by the City of Rochester and Up All Night production company and is sponsored by Blue Light Imported, DosEquis, The Market District Business Association and The Puerto Rican Festival.

The Bands on the Bricks concert lineup will conclude Aug. 8 with Leon Russell, a world renowned classic.

This year, Bands on the Bricks will support the Open Door Mission by accepting non-perishable food items and cash donations at every concert. All funds raised will be used to purchase fresh, produce from local farmers at the Rochester Public Market to help feed the homeless in our community.

Patrons may bring one sealed water bottle to the event. Pets are not allowed and all bags and carry-in items are subject to search.

Parking is available at the traditional Public Market locations including the free lots on Railroad and Trinidad Streets, across from the Union Market gates and street parking in the Market District and Marketview Heights neighborhood.
