City and Maplewood YMCA to Host Family Haunted Hayride

(Friday, October 10, 2014) – The City of Rochester and the Maplewood YMCA will be hosting a pre-Halloween Haunted Hayride on Saturday, October 18 from 7 to 9 p.m. and a chilling 18 and over only hayride at the Genesee River Gorge above the Lower Falls at 9:20 p.m. Parking will be available at the Maplewood YMCA, 25 Driving Park Ave.

Brave souls can take a spooky 20-minute tractor-drawn wagon ride deep into the darkness of the gorge. This family-friendly event features spirits and creatures guaranteed to scare.

Tickets are $5 for youth and adults age 12 years and older and $2 for children under 12. A limited number of tickets are available at the City Recreation Administration Office, 400 Dewey Ave or at the Maplewood YMCA. Pre-registration for both hayrides is required.

The Haunted Hayride is sponsored by the Maplewood Neighborhood Association, Maplewood YMCA and the Edgerton R-Center. Proceeds benefit the Association, the YMCA and the Edgerton Teen Council. For more information, call 428-6755.
