Select R-Centers to Offer Extended Hours during Holiday Recess
(Thursday, December 18, 2014) – The City of Rochester invites city youth to take advantage of expanded hours at several R-Centers during the holiday recess.
The following R-Centers will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 22, Tuesday, Dec. 23, Wednesday, Dec. 24, Saturday, Dec. 27,
Monday, Dec. 29, Tuesday, Dec. 30 and Wednesday, Dec. 31:
•Adams Street R-Center, 85 Adams St.
•Avenue D R-Center, 200 Avenue D
•Campbell Street R-Center, 524 Campbell St.
•Carter Street R-Center, 500 Carter St.
•David F. Gantt R-Center, 700 North St.
•Edgerton R-Center, 1 Backus St.
•Flint Street R-Center, 271 Flint St.
•Humboldt R-Center, 1045 Atlantic Ave.
•Roxie Ann Sinkler R-Center, 75 Grover St.
•South Avenue R-Center, 999 South Ave.
•Thomas P. Ryan R-Center, 530 Webster Ave.
R-Centers not listed above will be closed from December 22 to January 2, 2015. All R-Centers will be closed on December 25 and 26 for the Christmas holiday and January 1 and 2 for New Year’s. All R-Centers will return to their regular schedules on January 3.
The new “R-Centers” branding is the City of Rochester’s fresh approach to recreation and community centers. R-Centers provide safe, accessible environments where youth and adults can take advantage of first-rate programs and facilities designed to promote healthy living, education, creativity, self-discovery and positive relationships.
