News Release - Community Garage Sales and Super Fleas at Public Market a Big Draw for Father’s Day

(Friday, June 19, 2015) – Hundreds of fathers will converge on the City of Rochester Public Market, 280 N. Union St., with their families Sunday to celebrate Father’s Day by shopping for antique tools, fishing and hunting gear, sports memorabilia and other rare finds and collectibles.

The Community Garage Sales and Super Fleas is an annual Sunday series at the Market that extends from late spring to the middle of fall. The event that falls on Father’s Day has historically been a big draw for fathers looking for a fun way to start the special day with their families.

Community Garage Sales bring dozens of vendors together in one place, creating a huge variety of bargain collectibles and curiosities. They are held on certain Sundays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Vending spaces measuring ten feet by thirty feet are available to rent for $25 per event. Commercial vendors are also welcome.  Vendor information and applications can be obtained at www.cityofrochester.gov/garagesales or by calling the Market at (585) 428-6907 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday through Friday.

Other Community Garage Sales and Super Fleas will take place June 28, July 5, July 12, July 19, July 26, Aug. 2, Aug. 9, Aug. 16, Aug. 23, Aug. 30, Sept. 13, Sept. 27, Oct. 4, Oct.11 and Oct. 18.
