(Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2015) – Mayor Lovely A. Warren invites the community to the 11th Annual Artist Row juried art show at the City of Rochester Public Market, 280 N. Union St., from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 20.
“Artist Row is a perennial favorite in our annual special events series at the City of Rochester Public Market,” said Mayor Lovely A. Warren. “The event is an impressive showcase of our community’s creative talent. We are proud to work with our non-profit partner, the Friends of the Rochester Public Market and corporate underwriter, Summit Federal Credit Union, to bring free community events like this to the City of Rochester Public Market as part of our efforts to create safer, more vibrant neighborhoods, more jobs and better educational opportunities for our children."
This year’s Artist Row will feature 174 local artists and artisans, as well as live music. Market vendors will serve food and beverages, in addition to ten local food trucks. Admission and parking are free.
Launched in 2005, Artist Row has expanded the number of participating local artists and attendees every year, with the 2014 event drawing over 10,000 attendees. Proceeds from the event support the Friends of the Public Market’s Market Token Program, Veggie Valet, Market Trolley and other City of Rochester Public Market programs.
