Mount Hope Cemetery Path Through History Celebration on Saturday

(Friday, June 17, 2016) – Learn about Rochester’s most historic figures in a fun, innovative way at the Path Through History Celebration, 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Saturday, June 18 at Mount Hope Cemetery, 1133 Mt. Hope Ave.

Meet historic re-enactors Frederick Douglass and Nathaniel Rochester; listen to live music by Excelsior Cornet Band, an authentic Civil War brass band; catch a baseball thrown by an historic baseball player re-enactor; visit an exhibit on the early works of Margaret Woodbury Strong; take part in a search for ancestral grave locations and find out how sheep and goats were used in cemeteries years ago.

Kids can play a “search among the stones” game or have their picture taken with cutouts of Susan B. Anthony and Frederick Douglass.
Free parking will be available at the event.
