News Release - City Seeks Community Input on Redevelopment Potential for 151 Mt. Hope Avenue

City of Rochester

News Release

(Friday, March 17, 2017) – Mayor Lovely A. Warren invites community members to a public forum seeking community input on the redevelopment potential of a vacant, City-owned site located at 151 Mt. Hope Ave. The 1.8-acre site is located near the east bank of the Genesee River, south of I-490 in the South Wedge neighborhood.

“The future of this site is a critical piece to building on the momentum we’ve had in repositioning and connecting our Mt. Hope Avenue corridor, the Genesee River waterfront and our Center City,” said Mayor Warren. “As we work to transform our city, creating safer more vibrant neighborhoods, more jobs and better educational opportunities for our children, we are here to listen to what residents and business owners have to say about opportunities in their neighborhood.”

The forum will be held at 6 p.m., Wednesday, March 29 in the meeting room of Hamilton Tower, 185 Mt. Hope Ave. The forum will include a brief informational presentation regarding the site, followed by input from the community.
