 City of Rochester

 News Release

(Tuesday, June 13, 2017) – Mayor Lovely A. Warren has announced that after a one week delay due to wet conditions at Ontario Beach Park, the Wegmans Concerts by the Shore series will kick off its 28th season at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 14 with a performance by Rochester favorite, Coupe De' Villes.

“Concerts by the Shore are a summer music tradition,” said Mayor Warren. “I invite everyone to enjoy the music of Rochester’s favorite local bands and beat the heat with the cool breeze of Lake Ontario. Along with the Jazz Fest, MusicFest and Party in the Park, Concerts by the Shore are proof that the city is the region’s premier summer destination for music fans. Events like this add vibrancy to our city, which bolster our efforts to create jobs, safer more vibrant neighborhoods and better educational opportunities for our citizens.”

The series continues every Wednesday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. through Aug. 30. Next week’s event features the “Eagles” tribute band, Lyin‘ Eyes.
Parking is available in the lots adjacent to Ontario Beach Park. The park is also accessible by bike at the northern terminus of the Genesee RiverWay Trail. RTS bus rides are available for $1 each way. Parking is free for bus riders in the Kodak Lot #46 at the Eastman Business Park on Keehl Street, located between Lake Avenue and Maplewood Drive. For route and schedule information, visit www.myrts.com.

The Concerts by the Shore Series is sponsored by Wegmans and the Ontario Beach Park Program Committee with support from the City of Rochester and Monroe County.
