The Drum Corps Associates World Championships marching band competition and the Labor Day Parade will affect traffic Downtown this weekend.

Event: Drum Corps Associates (DCA) World Championships
Date: Friday, September 1, 2017
Time: 5 to 11 p.m.
Location: Main Street, from St. Paul Street to State Street, will be closed from 5 to 11 p.m.

Event: Labor Day Parade
Date: Monday, September 4, 2017
Time: 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Location: The streets below will be used for staging and will be closed from 9:30 a.m. to approximately 2 p.m.
 East Avenue from Scio Street to Goodman Street

  • Alexander Street between Park Avenue and Charlotte Street
  • Sibley Place at East Avenue
  • Meigs Street between Park Avenue and East Avenue'
  • Arnold Park from East Avenue to Park Avenue
  • Prince Street from East Avenue to University Avenue

 The parade will step off at 11 a.m. at the corner of East Avenue and Scio Street. The following streets along the parade route will be closed from 10:30 a.m. to approximately 2 p.m.

 East Avenue from Scio Street to Main Street

  • Main Street from East Avenue to Plymouth Avenue
