City Department of Neighborhood and Business Development to Hold Open House


 (Thursday, September 21, 2017) – Commissioner Baye Muhammad will conduct an open house, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 27 to provide the public with opportunities to meet staff and learn more about the programs and services of the City’s Department of Neighborhood and Business Development (NBD). The Department recently restructured to better meet the needs of citizens and businesses.

“The Department of Neighborhood and Business Development offers many programs and services that are crucial to our mission of creating more jobs, safer and more vibrant neighborhoods and better educational opportunities,” Mayor Lovely A. Warren said. “This open house is our opportunity to explain the Department’s restructuring and answer any questions people might have about the City resources that may be available to them.”
NBD management and staff will be on hand to answer questions about the following:
• Business Development, including loan and grant programs
• Housing Development, including home repair and rehabilitation programs
• Project Development
• Real Estate, including Rochester’s Land Bank
• Business Permits
• Neighborhood Service Centers
• Code Enforcement
The Open House will be in the City Hall Atrium, 30 Church St. Parking will be available in the City Hall parking lot or the Sister Cities garage.
