(Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017) – Kathleen Washington, the Director of Development Services in the Department of Neighborhood and Business Development, joined business owner Dan Morgenstern, City Councilmember Elaine Spaull and N.Y. State Sen. Joseph Robach today to celebrate the opening of Radio Social with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

“Radio Social is the story of Rochester in a nutshell, because it’s a story of resilience,” said Mayor Lovely A. Warren. “When his former business closed, Dan Morgenstern adapted and opened a creative new entertainment concept here in Rochester. I want thank Dan for making this investment in our city and for helping us create more jobs, safer more vibrant neighborhoods and better educational opportunities for our citizens.”

“It has been a true honor to work with the team of people who came together to make Radio Social a reality,” said Dan Morgenstern “This project was locally sourced at every level, including design, consulting, financing, labor and even the purchase of repurposed lumber that was milled locally. This story is Rochester at its finest.”
