City Transfers Ownership
of Camp Eastman to Town of Irondequoit.
The transfer of the ownership of Camp Eastman from the City
to the Town of Irondequoit in support of the development of
the Port of Rochester is an example of inter-municipal cooperation
that builds communities. Also, the City of Rochester and the
Towns of Brighton and Hamlin worked together under a grant from
the State Archive and Records Office to digitize local history
files and add them to the Central Library’s “Rochester Images”
web page. Old photographs from Rochester’s Public Market are
on display at the Rochester Museum and Science Center in a display
titled Diversity Rochester. |
Partners in Emergency Communications
Special partnerships have been established between the 911 Center
and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office team, the Rochester Fire
Department team and the Town of Greece Police Department team
to improve procedural and protocol issues. |
