Rochester offers an abundance
of social, cultural and athletic
programs for all ages at one of
over 29 centers. Supervised activities include seasonal day camps, homework assistance, arts and crafts, swimming instruction, softball, dance instruction, field trips, basketball, flag football, floor hockey, soccer, volleyball, ceramics, tennis and various
other popular activities. All youth based activities focus on developing life skills. Centers also offer participants access to other community resources such as Pathways to Peace, conflict resolution, drug and alcohol programs and Center for Youth Services.

Recreation operates up to 20 swimming pools and two artificial ice skating rinks, and sponsors special activities such as the Biz Kids youth entrepreneurial program, Language Arts program, athletic tournaments and the Stardust Dance Series. After-school and summer programming exists at the sites listed. Most sites operate additional, part-time programs in neighborhood schools.
