The Gardiner Recreation Center is now the Roxie Ann Sinkler Recreation Center
On December 3, 2011, the Gardiner Recreation Center was renamed the Roxie Ann Sinkler Recreation Center, in honor of an extraordinary activist who worked tirelessly for the betterment of northwest and southwest Rochester and its citizens. She volunteered with and advocated for the Gardiner Recreation Center for over a quarter-century.
