Many Recreation and Community Centers offers both organized and open sports, for youth and adults. Citywide Programs and Leagues

Citywide offerings include both organized programs and leagues, for both youth and adults.   

Softball (Adult and Youth), played at Cobbs Hill and Norton Street Recreation Center fields. Softball  leagues are hugely popular in the City! For more information and registration instructions, call Softball Coordinator Andy Yazwinski at 428-6755.

Basketball (Adult and Youth). Adult leagues coming Fall 2012. For more information about adult or youth basketball opportunities, call City Athletics Director John Picone at 428-7511 or Anthony Jordan at 428-6755. Baseball. The City has teamed with the Rochester American Baseball Congress since 1972 to run a high-level men's league for ages 18 and up. Click here to learn more about this league, which features experienced and accomplished players.

Ice and Floor Hockey (Ice Hockey for adults, Floor Hockey for youth). Ice Hockey is played at the Genesee Valley Park Sports Complex; Adult and youth Floor Hockey is played at select Recreation Centers in the winter. Interested adults call 428-7888; interested youth should contact your preferred recreation center to learn if that Center is fielding a team.   Flower City Soccer (Youth only). For more information and registration instructions, contact the program director Jeff Reese at 424-0828, or John Picone at 428-6755. Also see www.flowercitysoccerleague.com.  .   

NFL Flag Football (Youth only). Will run September-November 2012. Stay tuned for more information, or call John Picone at 428-7888.
