The 2011 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) Milling and Resurfacing/Preventative Maintenance Project was designed by Erdman Anthony and Associates, Inc., and is currently scheduled for construction in the spring and summer of 2012.
Streets included in the 2011 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) Milling and Resurfacing/Preventative Maintenance Project are:
- Otis Street (Mt. Read Blvd to Sherman St)
- University Avenue (North St to E. Main St): new traffic pattern to include bike lanes, a parking lane, left turns, and a reduction in travel lanes
- South Avenue (Griffith St to Woodbury Blvd)

The scope of the work consists of milling and resurfacing City Streets. Streets scheduled for milling and resurfacing will include repairing of the existing pavement base, resurfacing of adjacent driveway aprons to meet the new street grades, adjustment of water valve and sewer castings, resetting or installing new granite or medina stone to repair existing curbs along with sidewalk replacement where disturbed by curb repairs, installation of truncated domes at the handicap ramps, the installation of inlaid pavement markings and replacement of traffic loops as indicated within this Contract or ordered by the Project Manager.
