(Thursday, April 12, 2018) – The Heart Walk and the March for Science will affect Downtown traffic throughout the day on Saturday, April 14. All Downtown streets are expected to be open to regular traffic by approximately 2 p.m.

The Heart Walk will begin at 9 a.m. at Frontier Field, 333 N. Plymouth Ave. The following streets will be closed and will re–open as soon as possible after the listed time.

At 5:00 a.m.
• Morrie Silver Way – CLOSED – between Oak Street and North Plymouth Avenue.

At 8:30 a.m.
• Oak Street – CLOSED – between Erie Street and Morrie Silver Way;
• North Plymouth Avenue – CLOSED – between Main Street and Brown Street;
• State Street – Local Traffic Only – between Andrews Street and Main Street;
• Exchange Boulevard – Closed – between Main Street and Broad Street;
• Church Street – Local Traffic Only – between North Plymouth Avenue and State Street;
• Washington Street – Local Traffic Only – between Allen Street and West Main Street;
• Main Street – CLOSED – between North Plymouth Avenue and Chestnut Street;
• Fitzhugh Street – Local Traffic Only – between Broad Street and Church Street;
• Irving Place – Local Traffic Only – between Main Street and Broad Street;
• Allen Street – Local Traffic Only – between State Street and Fitzhugh Street;
• Graves Street – Local Traffic Only – between East Main Street and Aqueduct Street;
• Aqueduct Street – Local Traffic Only – between East Main Street and Bank Place;
• St. Paul Street – Local Traffic Only – between Pleasant Street and Mortimer Street;
• South Avenue – Closed – between Broad Street and East Main Street;
• Stone Street – Local Traffic Only – between Broad Street and East Main Street;
• South Clinton Avenue – Local Traffic Only – between Broad Street and Elm Street;
• North Clinton Avenue – CLOSED – between Mortimer Street and Main Street;
• Franklin Street – CLOSED – between East Main Street and Liberty Pole;
• Euclid Street – CLOSED – between East Main Street and Chestnut Street;
• Atlas Street – CLOSED – between Euclid Street and Elm Street;
• Elm Street – CLOSED – between Clinton Avenue and Atlas Street;
• Cortland Street – CLOSED – between East Main Street and Elm Street.

The March for Science will step off at 1 p.m. from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park, 353 Court Street. The march will travel west on Court Street, north on Clinton Avenue, east on Main Street and end at the Rochester Riverside Hotel, where participants will head indoors for a Science Expo. Streets along the route will only close intermittently as the march passes and reopen as soon as it clears.
