(Wednesday, May 30, 2018) – Make a date for lunch at “Chow Down Downtown” on Wednesday, June 6, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and pick from the many delectable deals at the city’s food trucks, carts and downtown restaurants.
“Chow Down Downtown,” is a day to embrace the downtown vibe and try something new or partake in an old favorite in the middle of your day -- and the middle of your city.
“Rochester has a collection of creative cooks and a delicious diversity of dishes. We want to celebrate our Downtown eateries, food trucks and carts, and the wonderful sights and smells they bring to Downtown during the day,” said Mayor Lovely A. Warren.
Food trucks will be assembling at the corner of Church and Fitzhugh streets for the lunch period. During the event, Church Street will be closed to vehicle traffic from State to Fitzhugh streets, and music will be playing. Chow Down Downtown will reprise on Aug. 22.
