Central Library - Colored Girls Exhibition by Gail Johnson

Gail Johnson's "Colored Girls Exhibition" is currently featured in the Lower Link Level of the Central Library of Rochester and Monroe County, located at 115 South Ave., Rochester, NY. The exhibition will run through November 15, 2018.

Johnson uses bright colors in all of her artwork. She says, "Many people use the sentiment of 'I don't see color' or 'I'm colorblind' interchangeably when they encounter people." She wants people to see color. When you unveil color, you see just how beautiful people are, which results in productive conversation.
