City of Rochester
News Release
(Monday, Oct. 15, 2018) — The City’s Department of
Environmental Services’ (DES) annual Fall Loose Leaf Collection Program will
begin Monday, Oct. 29 and continue through Nov. 23.
The leaf collection schedule and map can be found on the
City’s Loose Leaf Collection Program web page at www.cityofrochester.gov/leaves.
Residents can also check the “At Your Service” guides, which were mailed last
week.
Guides are available at City Neighborhood Service
Centers, and online at www.cityofrochester.gov/atyourserviceguide/.
To ensure the most efficient collection of leaves,
residents should rake loose leaves into a pile between the sidewalk and the
curb before the Monday of their scheduled collection week. It is dangerous, and
therefore illegal to rake leaves into the street. Leaves may also be bagged for
collection on residents’ regular refuse collection days. Loose leaves can also
be dropped off at Ferrano and Colfax Streets.
Residents may call 311 for more information.
