(Monday, Dec. 17, 2018) – Governor Andrew Cuomo’s 2019 Justice Agenda lays out a bold strategy to ensure that every citizen in New York State is treated fairly under the law and is provided an equal opportunity to thrive and prosper, regardless of where they were born. This agenda addresses a wide range of issues that are now under sustained assault by the Trump Administration, including criminal justice, civil rights, environmental stewardship, affordable housing, tax fairness, immigrants’ rights and social tolerance. I applaud Governor Cuomo for putting New York State at the forefront of the fight for progress and the ideals that make this country truly exceptional. The 2019 Justice Agenda will be a force for positive change in Rochester and beyond, and I encourage my governmental partners in the New York State Legislature to adopt this powerful plan as quickly as possible.
