Residential Curb Ramps Culver Rd East to City Line

Project Description

The project consists of making the City’s Southeast neighborhood more accessible to all citizens by installing sidewalk access ramps compliant with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and complying with all current federal regulations including the ADA Accessibility Guidelines (ADAAG) and Proposed Guidelines for Pedestrians Facilities in the Public Right-of-Way (PROWAG). The proposed work also complies with the City of Rochester’s Complete Streets Policy (Ordinance No. 2011-356).

Additional construction associated with the access ramps and sidewalk work are catch basin upgrades, adjustment of underground utilities as needed and lawn restorations.

Project Location

Sidewalk access will be improved on streets from Culver Road east to the City line, and from E. Main Street north to the City line.
