News Release - Mayor Warren Welcomes National Asian Pacific American Month Exhibit at City Hall Link Gallery

(Tuesday, May 7, 2019) – Mayor Lovely Warren invites the public to enjoy the National Asian Pacific American “Embracing our Heritage” exhibit at City Hall Link Gallery. The exhibit showcases unique, richly cultured and historically inspired collections from three local artists: Mara Ahmed, Rie Maywar and Jina Park.

On display are some “re-framed and famed” iconic photographs including Chinese Americans taken to celebrate this year’s 150th Golden Spike Anniversary of the Completion of the Transcontinental Railroads at Promontory Summit, Utah on May 10, 1869.

The exhibit is on display now through June 17, 2019 at the City Hall Link Gallery, 30 Church St. The Link Gallery hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The public is invited to attend an opening reception at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, May 17.
