Motorist Advisory - Rochester Lilac Festival Parade to Affect Traffic

(Thursday, May 9, 2019) – Groups will begin staging for the 2019 Rochester Lilac Festival Parade at 8 a.m. this Saturday, May 11 along Science Parkway and side streets off South Avenue between Science Parkway and Elmwood Avenue. Traffic along South Avenue will be affected at this time. The Rochester Police Department will close all roads between Elmwood Avenue and East Henrietta Road at 9:15 a.m. including: Booth Street, Warren Street, Rosemont Street and Fort Terrace.

The parade will step off at 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of South Avenue and Science Parkway. The parade will proceed northbound on South Avenue to Highland Avenue, then eastbound on Highland Avenue to S. Goodman Street for disbandment.

The parade is sponsored by Lilac Festival Inc., a non-profit corporation consisting of the City of Rochester, Monroe County, and Visit Rochester and produced by the Springut Group, Inc. For information, visit www.lilacfestival.com.
