RFP – Genesee Valley Park Pool & Ice Rink Upgrades

Description

The scope will include investigations, design, bid, and construction administration services. Provide services for all phases of survey, scoping, design, bid, and construction oversight for the renovation, which includes: roof restoration with insulation replacement, exterior repairs, and pool deck replacement.


Ice Rink Building Roof Restoration and Insulation Replacement

  • Provide design options for roof replacement/retrofit for the rink roof. The new covering shall carry a 20-30 year warranty.
  • Provide design options for insulation repair/replacement in the rink. These options shall work in conjunction with the roofing option and existing wall construction to provide a cohesive system.
  • Roof leak investigation of the intersection of the metal building knee wall and the low roof is needed.
  • Provide design options for low-emissivity (low-E) ceiling and wall system with either a protective netting or an impact-resistant ceiling product.

Pool Deck Replacement
  • Replace the concrete pool deck with a new concrete deck. A non-slip finish with proper expansion joints and control joints is needed. Deck graphics shall be incorporated into the final design.
  • Pool accessory upgrades include, but are not limited to bleachers, lifeguard chairs, slide, and starting blocks.
  • Replace the pool fencing.Inspect and make recommendations for the repair of the Marcite plaster pool coating.
  • Replace the pool cover and anchors in the pool deck.

Exterior Repairs
  • Repair/replace deteriorating concrete plaza with an improved ADA accessible route.
  • Provide plantings/grass area and drainage improvements at the plaza
  • Drainage improvements around the pool and access drive.
  • Upgrade exterior light design for both the building and the site (plaza and pool).
  • Repair/replace building wood fascia and soffits.
  • Incorporate new signage design at main entry.
  • Masonry resealing of control joints and wall penetrations.
  • Repointing of masonry in selective areas.
  • Evaluation of entire buildings masonry for resealing and waterproofing.
