Mayor Warren Welcomes Enhanced Gentlemen Grooming Parlor to State Street

(Thursday, June 20, 2019) – Mayor Lovely A. Warren is proud to welcome Enhanced GentleMen Grooming Parlor to State Street. The owner, Averish Lewis, has been in the beauty enhancement business since 2011 and opened Ms. Avy’s Beauty Enhancements Salon in 2017. Enhanced Gentlemen (EGM) Grooming Parlor is an extension of the beauty salon, which has a reputation of being among one of the best professional hair salons in the Rochester area.

“There is a need for professional urban locations like Enhanced GentleMen in Rochester that have a welcoming and open atmosphere.” said Mayor Warren. “Having a grooming parlor that is also focused on the advancement of young men is paramount to the future of the city as we transition to young people joining the workforce.”

EGM provides barber and grooming services to the community. EGM barbers focus on the needs of clientele and operate the business as the male version of Ms. Avy Beauty Enhancements Salon combining brotherhood and sisterhood together. They are centrally located in an up and coming area in the City of Rochester. This location can easily accommodate all quadrants of the city and has ample parking located at the side of the building.

EGM’s vision is to uplift the male aesthetic by providing clients of all ages with premium services from barbers with a positive role model image. EGM’s goal is to inspire, motivate and build confidence in the clients to whom they provide services.

Ms. Avy considered the needs of the City of Rochester as it has a rich academic and growing urban professional demographic. Many people seek a peaceful atmosphere where they can receive services and relax. EGM seeks to serve that need.

Ms. Avy sees her business one day as a franchise that will provide exceptional services to our community in various locations while providing education and personal development to its youth, men and women. Currently, EGM has six employees.

The store is open 10 a.m. to 8 pm. Tuesday and Wednesday and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
