City Welcomes the Opening of Calabresella on Park

(Wednesday, August 14, 2019) – Mayor Lovely A. Warren is pleased to welcome Calabresella on Park to the Rochester community today.

“Calabresella on Park has been a part of the Rochester area for years and it’s wonderful to see a family business reach new heights,” said Mayor Warren. “This new addition to Park Avenue will bolster the vibrancy and variety of one of Rochester’s best-known neighborhoods.”

City Council Member Elaine Spaull and Director of Development Services Dana Miller joined William and Dominic Mammoliti for a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of Calabresella on Park. Gates Town Supervisor Cosmo Guinta and County Legislator Frank Allkofer were also in attendance. Calabresella New York Style Deli has been a family-owned business in the Rochester area since the late 1960s, specializing in subs, salads, coffee and pastries.

Third generation owner Dominic Mammoliti jumped at the opportunity to open another establishment on Park when some prime real estate became available.

“Park Avenue is a well-kept neighborhood with some very fine businesses,” said Mammoliti. “We hope to make our business a staple of Rochester in which people from out of town can look forward to visiting.”

Calabresella also offers Italian meats, cheeses and other Italian specialty items that are not available in grocery stores. The deli is also well known for its overstuffed subs. The house favorite is the Colon Kicker, a cheesesteak featuring grilled capicola and hot peppers.

Calabresella is open seven days a week from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. and also has free parking. The original store is located on Buffalo Road and a second location is located in Avon.
