Download RFP

The City of Rochester, through its Bureau of Architecture and Engineering is requesting proposals from firms to provide engineering, design and construction phase services for the Rochester Running Track Bridge Improvements – Phase I project.

The Rochester Running Track Bridge Improvements Phase I project is one of the project selected for funding in Phase I of the ROC The Riverway Initiative.  The ROC the Riverway initiative is a bold and progressive plan to revitalize the severely underutilized Genesee Riverfront in the core of Rochester, New York. It represents years of planning and community engagement around a myriad of potential riverfront projects, culminating in a captivating and cohesive vision for revitalizing the city’s most significant natural asset.

The proposed project will stabilize the existing abandoned Running Track Bridge over the Genesee River, roughly between Cliff Street and St. Paul Street, in the City of Rochester.  Stabilization of the bridge will halt deterioration and ensure that it is preserved for a permanent conversion of the structure to a multi-use trail facility in a future phase.
