Artist Mollie Wolf’s
“Art Work Then and Now” on
Exhibit at City Hall Link Gallery
(Thursday, December
19, 2019) - Artist Mollie Wolf’s exhibit “Art Work Then and Now” is on display
in the Link Gallery at City Hall through January 27, 2020. The exhibit is free
and open to the public, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Link Gallery is located at 30 Church St.
on the first floor of City Hall.
Mollie Wolf is an
artist and educator. She taught for the
Rochester City School District and the Creative Workshop at the Memorial Art
Gallery. Her work has been exhibited at
the Strasenburg Planetarium, Rochester Museum and Science Center, the Creative
Workshop, Memorial Art Gallery, Rochester Contemporary Art Center, Nazareth
College, Bausch and Lomb, Baobab Gallery, Finger Lakes Exhibition, Monroe
Community College and more.
The exhibit is a
retrospective of over 60 years of Mollie Wolf’s creative work. The exhibit features a wide range of media
including painting, sculpture, felting and jewelry. Themes that carry through
her artwork include fantasy and realism.
According to Wolf, “art enriches the heart and mind.” Her work unfolds as a “journey through layers
of experience.” Her work can also be
seen on area traffic boxes in the Artwalk and North Winton Village
neighborhoods.
Mollie received her
Bachelors and Masters Degree in Art Education as well as a Certificate in Art
Therapy from Nazareth College.
