City of Rochester News Release - Lifeguard Training and Recertification Courses Offered at Adams St. R-Center

City of Rochester News Release 

 

 (Feb. 25, 2020) – Beginning in March, the City’s Department of Recreation and Youth Services and the American Red Cross will offer 2020 Certified Lifeguard Training and Lifeguard Recertification classes at the Adams Street R-Center, 85 Adams St., on the following dates:  

Lifeguard Course Classes:  March 3 – April 30; Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:30 - 9:30 p.m.

                                                         (No classes on April 14 and April 16 due to School Recess)

 

Week-Long Accelerated Lifeguard Course:   May 4 – May 9; Monday – Friday, 5:30 – 9:30 p.m.,

            Saturday, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

 

Recertification Classes:  May 12 – 14; Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday, 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

    May 19 – 21; Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday, 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

 

Registration is open to adults and students who are age 15 years and older.  Participants will need to be proficient swimmers to attend.

Registration costs are free for students who live in the city of Rochester, $75 for students who live outside the city, and $125 for adults. An additional mask and book are required for some classes and are available for purchase as a package for $50.00.
