City of Rochester News Release
(Friday, Feb. 28, 2020) – The City of Rochester’s
Department of Recreation and Youth Services (DRYS) will hold tryouts for a
travel basketball team on Saturday, February 29 at the David Gantt R-Center,
700 North St.
DRYS is looking for boys in grades 6, 7 and 8 to be part
of a City-sponsored team that will represent Rochester at the Jr. Peach Summer
Showcase in Augusta, Georgia this summer from July 8 – 12.
The try-outs are free and open to city residents. Elite
level only. Tryouts will take place by grade level at the following times:
6th grade boys:
10 a.m. – Noon
7th grade boys:
Noon – 2 p.m.
8th grade boys: 2
– 4 p.m.
