Public Access to City Council Meeting and Virtual
Engagement
In response to Governor Cuomo’s Executive Order 202, and
guidance from the Monroe County Department of Health, the Rochester City
Council temporarily suspended in person attendance to Council Meetings until
further notice. Access to meetings will also be limited to essential
personnel.
The following meetings, which were previously noticed, will
be affected:

The Council will televise its “Speak to Council” hour and the Council
Meeting, they can be found online at www.cityofrochester.gov/councilwebcast
or on City 12 TV, Spectrum Cable channel
1303 in the City of Rochester. The Council is encouraging individuals to
send their comments in email form to Council@cityofrochester.gov or
call 585-428-7421, any time before 5:30PM on Tuesday, March 17.
Council and Clerk staff will read comments into the public record and
the readings will be televised. Individuals will need to submit their name,
address, and contact number for the record only the individual’s name will be
publically read. Anonymous comments will not be shared. Councilmembers do not
respond to comments at Speak to Council, it is a forum to address the body and
not a dialogue, as such councilmembers will not be responding to any comments
or questions shared.
