News Release - La Marketa Application Deadline Extended

(Thursday, March 26, 2020) – Due to a number of changes and cancellations that have taken place in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the application deadline for individuals and businesses interested in becoming tenants or licensees at La Marketa International Plaza has been extended to April 30, 2020.

The City is presently seeking applications from individuals and businesses that are interested in being tenants/licensees at five kiosks (repurposed shipping containers) that are available at La Marketa at the International Plaza, an exciting new City venue currently under construction.

La Marketa is a City initiative to develop and construct a new Latin-themed event space and marketplace on North Clinton Avenue. The project will include a variety of vendors and vending options, ranging from pop-up tents and carts to more permanent retail locations housed in converted shipping containers. The project will also include a performance pavilion, dedicated restrooms and a service/storage building. The more than $2 million project is anticipated to be ready to open in the fall of this year.
